Parenting time describes the time, frequency and duration that a child spends with a parent in order to maintain and promote a strong relationship with that parent. In most cases, it is best for the parents to determine an appropriate parenting time schedule for their child as it is they who are most familiar with their own circumstances as well as their child's needs. If a decision cannot be made by the parents, the Court will make a decision based on the best interests of the child and set a parenting time arrangement which promotes a strong relationship between the child and the parents.
